Scaffolding comes off in Bath
— 05 May 2015
The refurbishment of one of Bath's grand grade I listed crescent terrace houses reaches its final stages, with the removal of the scaffold revealing the repointed and repaired Georgian sand stone front elevation and the delicate ironwork of the new replacement balconies.
The house served as university accommodation for over 50 years and our clients have turned the property back into private use, preserving and reinstating the original detail where possible. The works included removal of modern partitions, ceilings and fittings, the repair and cleaning of much of the original fabric and decoration which survive, and the installation of new services.
