Lynton Town Hall An unusual Arts and Crafts, grade II* building built by a local philanthropist George Newnes, needs to improve facilities for better access and maintain its use by the community.Jonathan Rhind Architects carried out an initial feasibility study to examine the improvements that could be made with a number of options to improve income and generate local and outside use and secured the necessary listed building consents and have helped in the preparation of a Big Lottery bid.A reduced range of measures is due to be installed during 2007-2008 which include:Improvements to kitchens Installation of lift Accessible W.C.’s Re-wiring with improved fire alarms.
