Bridge Trust, Barnstaple The Bridge Trust is a local charity that has a significant property portfolio of listed buildings in Barnstaple wherein it lets to retail, office and residential tenants, and distributes grants to benefit the inhabitants of Barnstaple within a five mile radius of the centre of the town. The estate comprises four grade II listed buildings housing twenty commercial premises and nine flats.We look after the redevelopments and improvements, building repairs and maintenance for the entire estate which tries to balance the need for care for historic fabric with the commercial and domestic needs of the tenants. Work to the buildings generally pose a logistical challenge with their prominent town centre position, commercial and residential tenants and continued pedestrian and vehicle access around the buildings.
